I ADMIT, I AM A BAD PERSON pt 2

This is a RANT!!!! W/O APOLOGIES.

I don't care about second-hand smoke or the people that bitch about it.

If you choose not to smoke, fine. That's your right. You have the ability to share and express your feelings, choices and opinions because you live in the U.S.A.. You have the right to designate where you and your like minded cohorts can congregate that appeal to your "cleaner air" regime. I accept that. That's very cool.

I respect your right to speak your mind, share and express your feelings, choices and opinions of where to go and not go.

If you want a non-smoking establishment, they have those.

No one forced you into the smoker friendly places. No one said "See this haze of smoke, through the window, well I got a gun to your head...now go in there damn it and breathe DEEPLY!!"

No one is forcing people to work in them either, they choose to.

You don't want to work with or around smokers then DON'T!

If you don't want to be around it, fine, no one's making you.

But if you choose to say something about it around me, you might as well respect my given right to tell you to "Shut the FUCK up!!! To take you, your views, and your booger hooks and cram them all in the place where male prisoners like to "establish dominance."

But these should all be choices. Not Mandated rules.

If smoking is so bad why won't insurance companies cover the costs to "QUIT SMOKING"?

The powers that be tell us that pot is very very bad...so it's illegal.

The same powers tell us that crack, cocaine and heroin is bad...guess what, that's illegal too.

Those very same voices are telling us that smoking is so bad that they have multi-million dollar a year ad campaigns telling us how bad it is, and that people should stop.

But why do these organizations spend so much money re-informing the population how unhealthy and addictive smoking is yet it's still legal?

I mean I could go all religious here and go..."well god has a plan for all of us." Then why are we interfering? If it was god's plan to have someone die due to smoking, it was his plan, right?

Better yet let's get Darwinian. Only the strong survive, let's cull the weak, survival of the fittest, thin the herd, make more room for the chosen or whatever statement you want to use that means you are better than the rest.

Or I can get mathematical.

6 billion people on this blue planet.

SUBTRACT
Globally, nearly 5 million premature deaths are caused as a result of smoking.

NOW ADD
There are 133 million births each year globally.

EQUALS
That's telling "US" we either need a bigger planet or more smokers.

I smoked for 20 years. I haven't had a cigarette since January. My wife smoked for almost 25 years and she hasn't had a cigarette since December. It wasn't for health reasons that we quit.

It was because we both refused to pay five dollars a pack.

But we sure as hell don't bitch and complain when others do it. It's their choice. One I won't take away from them. So don't you dare take mine.
